Scorpio Full Moon 5/12/25
Unbecoming
Things are uncertain right now. But that's both the nature and the necessity of change. It's where stasis meets potential.
And the most challenging part of transformation isn't the comfort of what was, nor the stability of what's next. It's the space in between. The messy middle. The void. It feels like being cast adrift between two ports, with no map and no anchor.
Sometimes, change is gentle—a smooth sail toward a visible horizon.
But then there's the other kind. The kind that ratchets up the intensity. The kind where the destination is unknown, the seas are stormy, and the vessel (you) feels unsteady.
Because transformation often looks like loss at first. The loss of control, of certainty, of what is familiar. But this is the gap of change. It is the in-between where we are asked to trust something bigger. Something we can't yet see. Something in ourselves we have yet to discover.
That middle space is where anxiety lives. Where fear and uncertainty often arise. But it is not inherently dangerous. It is simply unknown. It is the pregnant pause of possibility. It is the breath between the last word and the first step.
It's the moment we whisper, with both fear and wonder: what is going to happen now?
And there's no rushing this phase. It's the alchemical threshold, where the old meets the new, where what must die prepares to be reborn.
That's where we are now. Welcome to Scorpio.
This Scorpio Full Moon is amplified by Uranus in opposition and a planetary crowd gathered at the Pisces/Aries cusp. Translation? Emotional turbulence meets awakening. This is no ordinary transition. It's deep, primal transformation. Inside and out. Personal and collective.
Because transformation demands trust, inner work, and the courage to face your demons- your outdated beliefs, stories, and fears. It's no wonder these moments often become profound power pivots in our lives. The challenge is they ask the most of us. The gift is they offer the most potential for rebirth.
Scorpio, after all, rules death—not as an end, but as a sacred change of state.
A caterpillar dissolving into goo before growing wings.
A snake shedding its skin.
A phoenix rising from ash.
What was must be undone so something new can emerge.
The Sabian symbol for this Full Moon echoes this theme: "A bunny metamorphosed into a nature spirit." It's tender, mystical, and wild. A symbol of innocence evolving into the essence of wisdom. It speaks to the alchemy of intense change- coal to diamond, sand to pearl. A remolding at the deepest level.
But let's not romanticize it. Transformation is gritty, real, and raw. It strips us bare and brings us face to face with everything we've avoided. It pulls us to the edge of who we think we are so we can fall into the grace of something deeper, truer.
This kind of change demands that we release pieces of our lives:
Relationships that no longer align.
Identities that no longer fit.
Illusions that once offered comfort but now obscure truth.
We're asked to confront long-held beliefs and narratives, to see with eyes unclouded what we've bypassed or denied. Because Scorpio doesn't tolerate denial. Transformative truth cuts clean. It pierces the veil and shows us what is.
This is the reckoning. The rebirth. The moment between what was and what's coming.
So, ask yourself: Where in your life are you being undone? What needs to end so you can begin? And how can you meet this unraveling not with resistance but with reverence?
Navigating the Transformation
1. Get Real
Seek your blind spots, not just what you want to see but what is. Look within and around you. How are your perceptions shaped by past wounds or wishful thinking? Do your actions match your words and values? Do the same with others. Notice when people's actions contradict their promises, values, or roles. Clarity isn't cruelty. It is wisdom. Name the truth. Even (especially) when it's messy, inconvenient, or uncomfortable. Honesty is the doorway to transformation.
2. Let Go of What Needs to Die
Release the dead weight. That relationship, role, belief, identity, or behavior you're clinging to may be the very thing blocking your evolution. What once protected or defined you may now be limiting you. Letting go isn't a weakness. It's a necessary part of change. Scorpio reminds us that endings aren't failures. They're sacred transitions. Thresholds. Initiations. Not everything is meant to come with you into the next chapter. And what got you here can't take you there. Trust the unraveling. There's power in what falls away.
3. Make It Sacred
This isn't just a breakdown. It's a rite of passage. A soul initiation. In times of transformation, it's easy to lose our sense of meaning. But Scorpio asks us to go deeper. To find the sacred in the unraveling. Trust your intuition. Speak with the unseen and listen for the answers that don't come in words. Lean into the mystery. Let it humble you. Let it shape you. When you treat the process as sacred, you begin to reclaim your power- not by controlling the outcome but by surrendering to the wisdom woven through it.
4. Feel the Feels
Grief (the language of transformation) is not weakness. It's alchemical.
Scorpio doesn't ask for emotional tidiness. It demands the truth. And truth often comes wrapped in emotion: rage, sorrow, relief, awe, regret, longing. Let them all come. Emotions are messengers. They reveal what needs attention, where love has been lost, where boundaries were crossed, and where healing wants to happen. Feeling them fully is how we transmute pain into wisdom, resistance into flow, and numbness into aliveness. This is the inner fire of transformation- not bypassing, not fixing, but being with what is. Let yourself break open. Let the waves crash. There is gold in the grief. When you allow the full spectrum of your emotional truth, you create space to be remade from the inside out.
5. Reclaim Your Power
Transformation isn't about control. It's about sovereignty. Control clings. Sovereignty chooses. Scorpio represents a unique type of power, one that originates from deep within. Not force, but self-honoring. Reclaiming your power means returning to your true self. It involves making choices from your center rather than from past conditioning. This is the essence of transformation: remembering who you are beneath the noise. It's not about becoming someone else. It's about unbecoming what you're not.
6. Anchor in the New
As the old falls away, don't rush to fill the void. Let it breathe. Let it open.
This space is fertile ground. Make it intentional. Begin anchoring your transformation through small, embodied actions, practices, choices, boundaries, and rituals that reflect who you are now, not who you were. Not performative actions but right actions. Ones that arise from self-respect, clarity, and soul-truth. This is how new realities are rooted-not all at once, but breath by breath. Let every conscious step be a seed. Let those seeds grow. You're not just imagining the new; you're bringing it to life.
This Scorpio Full Moon isn't just an astrological event. It's an initiation.
Personally and collectively, we are in a moment of deep reckoning and radical rebirth. The old is colliding with the new. We are being asked to look honestly at what must end so that something more aligned, truthful, and rooted in justice, integrity, and shared humanity can emerge. Not a world driven by hate, greed, or fear but one shaped by clarity, courage, and care.
You are not here to simply endure this time.
You are here to participate in the transformation.
To rise from the ashes of what no longer serves.
To embody what is now possible.
To be a force for what is just, true, and whole.
Let it be sacred.
Let it be honest.
Let it be real.
