Sagittarius New Moon 12/19/25
Turning Points
The macro-patterns show us that 2025 was a year of endings, and 2026 opens as a year of beginnings. That seems simple in concept, almost elegant in theory, but in lived experience, it’s anything but tidy. Endings and beginnings rarely arrive like chapter breaks; they move more like tides shifting or weather fronts colliding, full of pressure, turbulence, and cross-currents.
In this threshold space, between what was and what will be, we feel the inertia of the past meeting the potential of what’s next. It’s the friction of momentum brushing up against the possibility of redirection. And that space of “not yet” is where uncertainty becomes the dominant atmosphere.
For some, this uncertainty carries a spark of excitement. Especially if you’ve been consciously releasing old patterns and can sense a new trajectory forming. For others, it can feel more like fear: the ground not yet solid, the next chapter not yet visible. And for many, there is grief, especially when what has ended did so without your permission, abruptly or sharply, leaving you facing a beginning you didn’t ask for.
This season of change requires a kind of disillusionment. Not the cynical kind, but the spiritual one. A dissolving of what was: beliefs, identities, relationships, structures. A clearing of the fog so you can see what actually is. Within that dissolution is both grief and inspiration. The gritty grace of change.
The in-between is turbulent, yes. But it is also where hope lives.
Enter Sagittarius.
The sign of freedom, justice, truth, and the eternal belief in what is still possible. Sagittarius widens the frame, reminding us that even when life feels messy or uncertain, there is meaning in motion and purpose in the unfolding.
There is a bigness to this New Moon: a threshold, a bright line, a moment of “I can’t unsee this” clarity as we close out 2025 and cross into 2026. The air feels swollen with both possibility and pressure, like something is stretching, expanding, preparing to reveal itself. That feeling is accurate to what is unfolding. With the Sun and Moon conjunct the Galactic Center, the cosmic amplifier is all the way up, broadcasting truth, direction, and a deeper call toward what’s authentic.
Galactic Center Magic
The tiny blue orb we call home spins within a single galaxy, one among infinity, called the Milky Way. At its heart, some 25,000 light-years away, lies what astronomers identify as a massive black hole. Massive as in four million suns, an ever-expanding engine of creation continually birthing stars and celestial bodies. Far from a cosmic drain, a black hole is a point of immense gravitational pull, powerful enough to bend space, time, and even light. Its precision and force help orchestrate the delicate, balanced orbits that hold our entire solar system together.
This Galactic Center sits at 27° Sagittarius, the sign of seekers, visionaries, and ever-expanding knowledge. The ancient Maya studied this region extensively, likening it to a cosmic womb, a place from which the universe itself emerges.
Astrologically, the heart of the galaxy mirrors the heart of who we are. It symbolizes the place within us where our most original, profound ideas are born, the inner furnace where belief becomes perception, and perception becomes reality.
Astronomers still don’t know what lies beyond the Galactic Center. They can only conclude it is a universal ingress to something vast and potent. Astrologers similarly view it as a doorway to the prime mover, a portal to the root of creation itself. Call it God, call it Source, call it the animating intelligence that breathes life into matter. Whatever name you choose, the mythology suggests its presence hums from this point.
Both mystically and practically, the Galactic Center in our natal charts functions as an opening to undiscovered truths, a channel for wisdom that can radically shift our lives and ripple outward to others. It’s the space where we are natural seekers, hungry for understanding, and equally capable of transmitting what we learn.
If life is Earth School and we are all both teachers and students, then the Galactic Center reveals the curriculum: where we are invited to learn, where the right teachers appear, and where others are drawn to our own gravitational field of insight.
It is not only where we ask the big questions.
It’s where the answers find their way to us.
Turning Points
To be sure: answers are coming. They are already here. Truths are being revealed. Change is already unfolding based on this new clarity. Our work now is to be open enough and courageous enough to welcome what is arriving. To be willing to see openings where we once only saw walls. To let possibility show up in the very places we had grown resigned to limitation.
This is where radical accountability enters the scene. It asks us to face hard truths and then do hard things. It asks us to challenge our ingrained biases, our comfortable identities, our habitual reactions. And with this New Moon squaring both Neptune and Saturn, the stakes are clear: delusion is dissolving, and the real work begins.
Because when we speak about co-creation, we forget that the field of potential only responds to authenticity, to what actually is. Lasting change cannot be conjured through spiritual posturing, manipulation, or bypassing. It requires presence. Honesty. Alignment. Our current reality, however, is confronting. It is the curriculum of our becoming.
And so here we are:
The reality of our lives is on full display. Shadow layers no longer tucked away in the dark. The unconscious becoming conscious.
We find ourselves in the cave of the hero’s journey. The deep interior where illusions fall away, and clarity burns hot. It is meant to be humbling. Maybe even disorienting. It is meant to evoke those soul-heavy moments of, “This is it. I can’t keep doing this. Something has to change.”
This moment is designed to test our faith and stretch our inspiration. To make us reach for every tool we’ve collected along the way. To remind us that asking for help, real help, from those who know this terrain is not weakness but wisdom. It is meant to move us, ignite us, and catalyze power pivots. It is meant to stir passion, anger, grief, and all the alchemical forces needed to turn our lead into gold.
Because we are far from powerless.
This New Moon invites us to remember that transformation isn’t something that happens to us. It’s something that happens through us. When we meet reality as it is, without bypassing or collapsing, we regain access to our agency. When we align with truth, inner and outer, we stop fighting life and begin co-creating with it.
2025 asked us to release. 2026 asks us to participate.
Not perfectly. Not fearlessly. But honestly.
Sagittarius offers the reminder that hope isn’t naïve. It’s directional. It aligns the compass of our lives toward what is meaningful, ethical, and possible. The Galactic Center amplifies that call, urging us to choose belief systems that expand us rather than confine us, and actions that embody who we’re becoming, not who we’ve been.
This is the invitation of the Sagittarius New Moon, wide open, unfiltered, and unmistakably alive.
Meet it with clarity.
Meet it with courage.
Meet it with the truth of what is real.
“Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change.”
